Research Assistant, co-supervised by Dr Gemma Cremen and Dr Carmine Galasso
  • Contribute to the development and showcase of Tomorrow's Cities Decision Support Environment (TCDSE).
  • Collaborating with global project partners to facilitate the application of TCDSE to risk-informed pro-poor urban planning.
  • Showcase TCDSE's capacity to inform the design and assessment of financial pro-poor soft policies involving earthquake insurance and financial relief tax scheme for cities under rapid future urban expansion.​

Community Resilience, Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Sep-Dec 2021, Hong Kong)

  • Modeled post-earthquake housing recovery considering physical damages and differential household recovery capacities.
  • Built statistical learning models linking household demographics to recovery outcomes using datasets of 2015 Nepal Earthquake.
Stanford Urban Resilience Initiative, Stanford University (Feb 2020-Jul 2021, Stanford)
Graduate Student Researcher, supervised by Dr Jack Baker
  • Co-authored two journal papers and three conference papers.
  • Used computer simulation in combination with social sciences to identify vulnerable groups in post-earthquake recovery.
  • Proposed and quantitatively assessed interventions to facilitate equity in post-disaster housing recovery in San Francisco.
  • Simulated spatial- and cross-correlated ground motion fields.
  • Modeled post-disaster housing recovery using agent-based modeling and object-oriented programming.
